Responsibilities:

As a CADC/IADC, your primary duties will include:

  • Substance Use Assessments: Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments to understand clients' unique needs, history, and challenges related to substance use.
  • Letter Writing: Articulate and document assessment findings in a clear and concise manner, ensuring accurate and thorough communication.
  • Referrals and Recommendations: Provide expert recommendations and referrals tailored to each client's specific needs, fostering a collaborative and supportive approach to their recovery journey.
  • Reporting Requirements:  Ensure compliance with state regulations by meticulously completing reporting requirements via the IBHRS reporting system. 
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to other clinicians who navigate alcohol and drug issues clinically.

Needed Skills:

  • Valid Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or (IADC)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for individuals facing substance use challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with IBHRS state reporting system preferred but not required
  • Clinical experience working with SUD programming, groups and individuals
