Hayley Benson, LMSW

Therapist

Hayley is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University. Hayley has several years of experience in the mental health field with emphasis on trauma and PTSD, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, anger, interpersonal/relational conflict and life transitions. Before joining Mosaic Family Counseling Center, Inc., most of her work in the mental health field involved working in crisis intervention and with survivors of trauma.

Hayley is passionate about how mental health and trauma are interwoven in our society and systems, as well as advocating for equity and diversity across these systems. She views therapy as a collaborative process where she brings in knowledge of mental health, and the client brings in knowledge of themselves and what may or may not work for them. She takes a client-centered, trauma informed approach as well as implementing body-mind re-integration and mindfulness-based skills.
