Sarah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Sarah has experience working with a wide variety of populations. She works with children, adolescents, adults, groups & couples. She believes that healing can occur to develop a beautiful and harmonious life.  Sarah’s passion is in meeting clients where they are on their road to healing from past negative experiences and walks along with them while utilizing a variety of approaches to create a custom method of healing for each client based on the client’s strengths, beliefs, and needs. Sarah welcomes people from all walks of life, including but not limited to: LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and individuals with disabilities by providing a safe and affirming environment to all.

Sarah utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) an evidence based and best practice in working with past negative experiences and trauma; Attachment Theory; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; Internal Family Systems; Mindfulness and incorporating the Adaptive Information Processing theory within Psychodynamic and humanistic approaches. She has experience using EMDR with attachment issues, relationship trauma, race-based traumatic stress, addictive behaviors, dissociative disorders, body work, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, CPSTD.

Sarah enjoys applying wellness education where physical/spiritual and emotional health meets. She addresses your specific goals through application of body presence as you achieve successes in your life. Sarah also provides wellness education in corporate environments. 

In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time outside with her dog, playing with her cats, cooking, exercising, listening to audiobooks/podcasts, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
