Nicole is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Capella University.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Child Development from Purdue Global University. She is a pre-clinical fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), is a member of Delta Kappa, the International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society, and is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid.
Nicole has years of experience supporting the needs of families with children who have a mental health diagnosis. She has received extensive training regarding trauma and its impact on brain development and relationship patterns. Her personal experience as an adoptive parent has led her on a journey of investigating effective parenting strategies for families with children from hard places. She has experience partnering with schools and teaching staff to develop successful plans for children who struggle in the classroom. Nicole also completed her internship at a Psychiatric Medical Institute (PMIC) for Children as a therapist-intern. Nicole believes that therapy is a process of discovering and building. She works in a compassionate way to build a safe and trusting environment for clients to express their concerns and be supported in their goals.
