Jennifer Haidar, LMSW
Jen is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She graduated from Walden University with her M.S.W. and also holds a M.A. in Education and B.S. in Elementary Education.
Before beginning her work as a therapist, Jen had over fifteen years of experience working as an ELL (English Language Learner) teacher. She believes her background as a teacher gives her a unique perspective when working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, children, adolescents and their families.
Jen is committed to building a supportive and non-judgmental relationship with her clients to help them develop their own gifts to share with the world. She works alongside her clients to help them find the right plan for personal growth and healing using a variety of therapeutic techniques. Jen uses a combination of person-centered, expressive arts and play based therapy approaches in her work with children and adolescents, and is always willing to incorporate these approaches with interested adults.
Jen’s faith in God has been a foundation and healing force in her own life. For those who wish to integrate faith into therapy, Jen offers Christian-based therapy and has a humble desire to help individuals grow in their faith as a source of restoration and meaning.
Personally, Jen is both a mother and step-mother. She loves outdoor adventures, traveling, learning new things and being with her family. She dreams of someday living near the ocean and doing her work outdoors.
