Dana Cheek, LISW, CADC
Dana is a Licensed Independent Social worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Dana graduated from the University of Iowa, School of Social Work program with her Master of Social Work degree, and continues her education as a PhD student.
Dana has 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and substance abuse issues. Dana began her career working with adults with severe disabilities, then became a family counselor in substance abuse. Her focus was as a behavioral care manager at the inpatient level of care in mental health working with children, adolescents, and adults, where she had been for 20 years.
Dana works with individuals and families affected by mental illness, as well as disability. Dana believes in treating the whole patient and encourages integration of medical and mental health services. She will meet you where you are on your path to help you meet your goals and to feel more capable in life.
